Looking for more pop in your game? There's something satisfying about hitting a ball that jumps off a paddle face with serious pace. But when it comes to finding pickleball paddles with real power, you need actual data that goes beyond marketing hype.
Thanks to the Paddle Lab at JustPaddles, we've tested hundreds of paddles to measure exit velocity (the speed at which the ball leaves the paddle after contact). These numbers don't lie, and they give you a clear picture of which paddles deliver the most power potential.
Want to see how we test? Check out Pickleball Pursuit's breakdown of our Exit Velocity testing below!
What Is Exit Velocity in Pickleball Paddles?
Exit velocity is the speed at which the ball leaves your paddle after contact.
Higher exit velocities mean more power potential in your shots, while lower exit velocities typically indicate more control. This number tells you whether a paddle is geared toward power or precise shot placement.
How We Test Exit Velocity
Our Paddle Lab uses accurate testing equipment to measure exit velocity under controlled conditions. We fire a ball at each paddle at a consistent speed and angle, then measure how fast the ball comes off the face.
And we don't just look at one maximum shot. We calculate the average of the top 25% of shots, which we call Peak Exit Velocity Average. This approach filters out anomalies and shows you the paddle's true, repeatable power potential under realistic playing conditions.
This testing method gives you a fairer representation of the performance you can expect from your paddle. For more information about our Paddle Lab testing, check out this blog
Why Exit Velocity Is Just One Piece
Before we dive into the list, let's be clear: exit velocity alone doesn't tell the whole story about a paddle's power. Other factors like swing weight, balance point, core construction, and your own playing mechanics all impact how powerful a paddle feels and performs. That being said, if you’re looking for a power paddle to take your game to the next level, this list is a good place to start.
The Top Exit Velocity Paddles
Based on our Paddle Lab testing, these paddles are currently delivering the highest exit velocity measurements. This list evolves as we test new releases, so check back regularly for updates!
1. Pickleball Apes Zen S+ Hybrid Carbon Fiber Pickleball Paddle - 45.05 MPH

2.Holbrook Fuze Elongated 16mm Carbon Fiber Pickleball Paddle - 44.07 MPH
The Holbrook Fuze Elongated 16mm Carbon Fiber features a patent-pending Dual Density Foam Core—placing high-density foam up top for explosive put-away power and lower-density foam in the sweet spot for maximum forgiveness. Its Carbon-Aramid-Carbon (CAC) hybrid face combines stiff carbon with durable Aramid fibers for high-octane energy return, paired with a Textured Peel-Ply surface that grabs the ball to dish out precision, spin-heavy drives.
Best For: Intermediate to professional all-court players who want the reach of an elongated paddle without the "pingy" feel of thinner cores. With its 16mm chassis and Dynamic Weight Technology, the Fuze Elongated delivers a massive sweet spot and elite stability—making it perfect for aggressive players who need a plush, controlled feel for resets and dinks before speeding up the point.
3. Six Zero Black Opal 14mm Carbon Fiber Pickleball Paddle - 43.41 MPH
The Six Zero Black Opal 14mm Carbon Fiber features premium raw carbon fiber technology designed to generate maximum ball bite and elite energy transfer. Standing out in Paddle Lab testing with a blistering 43.41 MPH exit velocity and an impressive 1,426.90 RPM spin rate, its thermoformed construction and aerodynamic profile deliver explosive pop off the face without sacrificing control or structural durability.
Best For: Advanced offensive players and speed-up specialists looking for a high-powered 14mm paddle that offers lightning-fast hand speed at the kitchen line while still delivering heavy top-spin on aggressive drives and counters.
The CRBN4 TruFoam Barrage Carbon Fiber features CRBN’s revolutionary 100% Gen-4 TruFoam Void Core and raw Toray T700 carbon face, replacing traditional honeycomb with an edge-to-edge floating foam architecture built for instant pop. In Paddle Lab testing, it registers a blistering 43.39 MPH exit velocity and a 1,446.29 RPM spin rate, using a light 834.97 oz·in² swing weight and hybrid AeroCurve shape to accelerate effortlessly through the hitting zone.
Best For: Fast-twitch attackers and speed-up specialists who want maximum hand speed at the kitchen line. Its low-swing-weight profile and ultra-reactive foam core deliver instant energy return for quick counters and aggressive put-aways without sacrificing perimeter sweet-spot stability.
5. RPM Q2 16mm Hybrid Curve Top Carbon Fiber Pickleball Paddle - 43.31 MPH
The RPM Q2 16mm Hybrid Curve Top Carbon Fiber features RPM's Friction CarbonBite raw carbon surface combined with a full-foam core and TPU perimeter weighting for elite ball bite and solid energy transmission. In Paddle Lab testing, it records a scorching 43.34 MPH exit velocity and a near-top-of-the-chart 1,623.51 RPM spin rate, using its aerodynamic hybrid curve top to slice through the air for fast-hand rallies without sacrificing sweet-spot depth.
Best For: Intermediate to advanced all-court players looking for a rare blend of top-tier spin and heavy drive power. Its 16mm plush chassis and high torsional stability absorb impact for soft kitchen resets while giving counter-attackers the raw pop needed to dominate fast exchanges.
Finding Your Power Paddle
Exit velocity data gives you insight into which paddles deliver the most ball speed, but the right choice depends on your personal playing style and preferences. A paddle with the highest exit velocity might not be the best fit if its weight distribution or balance doesn't match how you play.
Use these numbers as a starting point, then consider how the paddle's other characteristics match your game. And remember, power comes from the combination of equipment and technique. Even the most explosive paddle needs proper mechanics behind it.
The List Is Always Changing
Paddle Lab is always testing out new releases, so this list evolves as new paddles hit the market. This is because we want to provide you with real, transparent information to help you make the best paddle purchase decisions.
New paddles are added to our testing regularly, so check back often to see the latest results and how new releases stack up against current leaders.
