  • The United Pickleball Association of America (UPA-A) has unveiled its Interim Certification Program, designed to establish new standards for paddle performance and consistency in pickleball. This initiative evaluates paddles based on Acceptable Deflection Force and Maximum RPMs, both right out of the box and after extended use.
  • Beginning in 2025, all professional pickleball players competing in UPA events—encompassing those in the Professional Pickleball Association (PPA) and Major League Pickleball (MLP)—will be required to use paddles that have received UPA-A approval.
