Pickleball Pro Tyson McGuffin Signs Contract with JOOLA

Tyson McGuffin shocked the world right before the new year by announcing that after 10 years working with the company, he planned to part ways with Selkirk Sport. This sent the pickleball world into a frenzy, wondering where one of the biggest names in the sport would land. 

Fast forward to January 4th, 2024 and we learned that Tyson signed a contract with one of Selkirk’s biggest competitors, JOOLA Pickleball. The terms of the contract are private and unknown, but speculation is swirling that this may be the second largest monetary deal in pickleball history - second only to the lifetime contract Ben Johns signed with JOOLA in early 2023. 

JOOLA now has two of the biggest names in men's pickleball on their roster with Ben Johns and Tyson McGuffin. The two rivals that battle on the court now have a common ally. These superstars likely won’t be rubbing shoulders on the way to the water cooler in JOOLA’s break room, but we can’t wait to see the marketing materials that come our way that may (or may not) feature Ben and Tyson! 

Historically, JOOLA has done a great job designing signature models for their pros so it’s only a matter of time before Tyson releases his own signature JOOLA paddle. From Ben, to Anna Bright, Collin Johns, and Simone Jardim, we anticipate that the Tyson McGuffin model is in the production pipeline!
