VELOZ pickleball shot onto the pickleball scene in 2021 when founder Mitch Junkins and his wife Lori fell in love with the game near their home in Newport Beach, CA. VELOZ Paddle Research and Development

During research and development, owner Mitch Junkins’s goal was to solve two major issues he felt were not up to speed in many paddles, the lack of stability and widening of the sweet spot.  Using 4-ply carbon fiber, VELOZ feels they’ve solved these problems, and are known to have an incredibly stable feel with a sweet spot referred to by The Dink as “The most accurate paddle with a sweet spot the size of Texas.” Even if the sweet spot is half as big as The Dink says, that’s a paddle we should all want in our hands! 

This is just the start for VELOZ. As pickleball continues to grow and the paddles become more and more technologically advanced, VELOZ will continue to push the envelope by creating paddles that are built beyond typical standards. “Our goal is to evolve leading-edge patented performance paddle technology, from our HQ in sunny southern California.” VELOZ’s next round is still being kept behind closed doors, but their launch of the Ellipse and Quadra series paddles is plenty to be excited about.
