What Our Paddle Lab
Experts Say

Once considered one of the more powerful paddles on the market, paddle advancements have pushed this paddle more in the direction of players who are spin-focused and looking for control with power potential. This paddle strikes a perfect balance of power and finesse. With a 38.41 mph peak exit velocity and a 924.77 swing weight, it delivers strong, precise shots with a heavier feel to maximize power potential. The 9.53" balance point provides a head-heavy feel, while the 30.74 twist weight provides stability on off-center hits, helping you maintain control during fast exchanges. Featuring a 2.6 consistency, this is a paddle you can depend on, expecting the same performance across the midline of the paddle face. Its impressive 1314.62 RPM spin rate lets you shape shots and keep opponents on their toes, and gives you the ability to shape the shots you want with more bite to the ball. Whether executing aggressive third-shot drives, roll volleys, or defensive resets, this paddle gives spin specialists the combination of control, stability, and power needed to dominate every point.

An excellent paddle George Bloom Beginner

Pros: Provides great ball control! It’s much easier to create and control my spin shots and my overheads than with my previous paddles. I’m still considered a beginner, but my shotmaking is greatly improved since I’ve switched to this one.

Cons: Can’t think of one….

Best Paddle Ever! Bobby Charpentier Intermediate

Pros: Without a doubt, the best paddle I've ever used. Owned the 3x, 16 mm for over a year and it is still going strong. I gave my older 2x to a friend and he's still using it. Terrific, sweet spot and the carbon face allows so much control, that it is almost impossible to hit a bad shot. Will never use another paddle again!! This paddle will improve your game overnight!

Cons: I haven't found one yet!

3X 14 and 16 James R. Intermediate

Pros: Ive always liked 16mm i love my crbn1x16mm i tried the 3x16mm wow control was amazing but the 1x had a little more power so i tried the 3x14mm the power was close to the 1x16mm just a touch more 3x14mm is a little less forgiving than 16mm but with some fine tuning im using the 3x14mm now and love it I am still working on my resets because the 14 is a little poppy but the ball goes exactly were you aim you will just need to get use to the faster reaction time that the ball comes off the paddle i was really torn between the 3x16mm and 14mm

Cons: i wish they made a 15mm also the 14mm is noticeably louder and you can feel the ball impact in the handle and not at all in the 16mm Just my two cents

CRBN3X Matt B. Intermediate

Pros: This paddle is amazing! I have purchased many CRBN paddles and this is my favorite by far! It has amazing power and control with the soft touch CRBN is known for. If you want a paddle similar to the CRBN 1 or 1X with a little more power, than this is it! In addition, CRBN has the best customer service on the planet! I highly recommend buying a CRBN paddle!

CRBN JUST CRUSHED IT - 3x Michael D. Intermediate

Pros: Coming from the competitors line, I started with CRBN for a bit more control - felt I can generate my own power. (Background, I'm former Tennis, Nerd Pickleballer, been to camps, US Open etc.. 4.0 - 4.5 skill) I prefer elongated paddles so I tried and like the 1x paddle. I was happy with touch and drives, along with drive/drops, I just didn't LOVE my resets..at all. I tried the Power 2x and like the power but (personally) just a bit too much as now the control felt diminished. Picked up the 3x and I found a home! It literally does have a larger sweet spot (think more forgiving..) and drives for days and was able to reset / dink / lob / everything - after only play with it a few times... CRBN you just crushed it with this one! Well Done!

About the Brand

Here is a message from crbn founder, Garrett:

Hi, I'm Garrett

And I, like many others, play far too much pickleball. I quickly found myself deeply involved in the sport, and as my skills progressed, I became increasingly unsatisfied by the selection of paddles on the market. After trying almost every brand of paddle, I couldn't seem to find the right combination of shape and material that felt right to me. So I decided to make my own. After some serious research, I discovered carbon fiber to be the ultimate material for faces and cores of pickleball paddles as it provides incredible stiffness, which translates into optimum power and control. From there I applied it to the shape that I felt worked best for my style, and thus, CRBN was born. This paddle completely changed my game, and I'm confident that it will do the same for others.
