What Our Paddle Lab
Experts Say
The Engage Pursuit Alpha Elongated 16mm is built for players who are looking for power and some control, with its peak exit velocity of 40.88mph. The balance point of 9.40 provides the paddle with an evenly balanced feel. It also features a swing weight of 880.38 oz/sq in, which puts it right at the average of the category. The metrics provide a fairly easy and quick swinging paddle for any player. The twist weight falls in the more maneuverable side of our data at 26.10 oz/sq in, so it can result in a few more erratic shots on off-center hits, while the consistency of the paddle has a lower standard deviation of 2.96, which does make the paddle land more towards the precise end of the scale. The more precise the paddles' consistency is allows for less variance in exit velocity, making it easier to reach the max power potential of the power. While spin comes in lower on the scale at 602.82, with the correct swing of the paddle, any player can still generate spin with the paddle. The Pursuit Alpha 16mm Elongated is a great option for players who are looking for solid power and a well-balanced paddle weight.

The Engage Alpha Elongated is built for players who want more reach, more spin, and more confidence with every shot. Combining cutting-edge materials with Gen4 technology, this paddle delivers the control you need for touch play and the power to put points away.
Paddle Benefits
The Alpha Elongated is constructed with a Raw Toray T700 Carbon Fiber face featuring a Next Gen Inner Layer—creating a gritty, long-lasting surface for enhanced spin and shot precision. This proprietary texture is engineered to maintain performance up to 4x longer than standard carbon paddles, keeping you competitive match after match.
Inside, the TrueStrike Polymer Core delivers a consistent feel and dependable durability. Its elongated 16.5” shape not only boosts reach but also expands the sweet spot for more forgiving contact. The 16mm core thickness provides excellent control, while Vibration-Dampening Technology reduces arm fatigue during extended play.
A 5.5” long handle with a 4 1/4” grip circumference offers comfort and leverage, making it perfect for both one- and two-handed shots. Finished in a sleek Black | Blue colorway and USAP approved, the Alpha Elongated is ready for tournament-level performance.

About the Brand
Engage Pickleball is a US-based manufacturer that takes Pickleball paddles to the next level. Every single step of the Engage paddle production process is done, right here in the United States.
From design to innovation everything is done by Engage engineers. Engage is always working with US-based suppliers to come up with new core components and processes. Engage then take all this into our own manufacturing plant to design, engineer, and build the leading edge paddles with our own in-house technicians.
Why does Engage do all that they do this when most paddle manufacturers outsource their paddles to OEM manufacturers overseas? It's simple. Engage wants to ensure the quality and workmanship in every paddle we make, and the proper 'quality controls' and procedures are in place. The end result. Technologically advanced paddles for advanced play.
When Engage designs a paddle, it goes through a rigorous and thorough testing process to ensure it plays, lasts, and withstands the punishment. All of our paddles comply with the USAPA guidelines and are listed and approved for sanctioned tournament play.
