Pros: Easy to hit sweet spot, nice balance of power and control

Cons: Handle length is a little short for large hands

Great Intermediate Paddle Jacob Intermediate

Pros: Big sweet spot, nice control, comfortable in the hand, crisp “pop” when you hit it just right. Price isn’t soaring like some of the newer paddles. See these in local leagues/tournaments in the hands of really good players.

Cons: I don’t think it’s “underpowered” but it’s not a beefy monster. Adjusting to the swing force needed took a few games, but much better now that I’m used to it. Can still hit baseline to baseline, though it does require more effort/swing than something heavier, but my control is much better with its touch vs “power” paddles I’ve played with. So, not a con exactly, just an adjustment.

My First Paddle! TJ Beginner

Pros: Love the look and the fact that it's under $100. It's also really comfortable and I've had no issues playing with it so far.

Cons: None that I can think of.

No pop Brian Intermediate

Pros: Super lightweight and good grip

Cons: Horrific lack of power. Indescribably wimpy. I thought the textured surface would help with spin, but if the ball barely makes it over the net...who cares? Weird and disappointing. But my very beginner-level wife likes it!

These would include: grip size, handle length, paddle length, paddle shape and paddle width. The differences for the two would include: paddle weight (very small difference here), paddle face material and paddle core material - these two things would comprise the main differences between the two.
