Pros: Great feel
Cons: It has given me tennis elbow though
Pros: The grit on the face of the paddle is unmatched. For $99, this paddle is a STEAL
Cons: None as of right now
Pros: This paddle is unreal. The grit on this paddle is great and provides such a great grab on the ball. $100 for this paddle is such an unreal deal, as I would stack its performance up with other higher-priced paddles.
Cons: none
Pros: I am getting a really nice combination of touch and power with this paddle. Drops are consistent and I am able to speed things up due the longer handle. This paddle looks really nice and I have received a lot of questions and compliments.
Cons: The paddle is just a touch heavy and the grip is a little on the larger size.
Pros: Love the power without sacrifice of soft feel.
Cons: None so far
Pros: For this paddle it can generate alot of spin, the weight is evenly distributed between the head and handle. It is very very gritty but the grit depending on your level of play may wear off soon. For a beginner or intermediate this is the best bang for the buck paddle in my opinion.
Cons: Grit may wear off in the long run.
Pros: Comfortable
Cons: Grit completely gone after 20 days of rec play. Franklin response? "Normal wear and tear, no coverage or assistance whatever. Never buy another Franklin paddle!
Pros: Excellent power and control, love the handle length and bigger handle grip. A very solid paddle and a fraction of the price for comparable paddle
Cons: Not much of a downside, the grit does wear down a little but do play a lot and have several friends using it as well for testing. I added about 0.3 grams of weight on the side to help with more control which is not a con but can be more beneficial for serious players.

About the Brand

Franklin Sports got its start in 1946 as a regional brand of sporting goods products. Irving H. Franklin, who co-founded Franklin Sports with his brother Sydney Franklin, brought the innovative idea of centering a complete line of products on a single athlete - Joe Namath. Over the years Franklin has affiliated with the best in sports, including world-class athletes like Sugar Ray Leonard, David Robinson, and Barry Bonds.
The breakthrough for Franklin and the batting gloves came when Phillies Hall of Fame third baseman Mike Schmidt and Irving Franklin teamed up to create the basic design that is still the preferred glove of most major league hitters. Irving Franklin went to Clearwater, Florida, to meet with Schmidt during spring training in 1983. Together, they worked tirelessly to make sure that the materials and design were perfected, so collaboratively the two were the first authors. At that time, most players wore no gloves. A few wore a single golf style glove, but no company offered a product specifically designed for the needs of professional players. Franklin today is the industry leader as the premier batting glove company, and custom fits batting glove for MLB players.
In 1982, when Franklin signed Mike Schmidt, Irving Franklin asked: "How can I get the name Franklin on field at the Major League level?" Schmidt suggested putting the name on the back to maximize exposure, and then helped to design the glove for lasting success at the major league level.
